Black and Gold

Everyone has a favorite color combination whether it be pink and green, yellow and purple, you get the idea. But my personal favorite, the elegant combination of Gold an black. Something about this stunning combination screams "sophisticated".
Its a common yet unrecognized combination. Channel's, December 7, Fashion Show in Paris showcased the Black and Gold, with the exception of a few white and gold pieces. To see this line go here.
There isn't much to say but to look at these stunning photos.

Lazy Sunday

You've been to work/ school all week. Saturday with friends, parties, your "fun" day. But know its sunday, which we all know sucks but what are you going to do? Well, for one thing, not get all gussied up to go run a few errands, or at least I don't want to. But you cant go out looking like you rolled out of bed (unless you of course you like that style, then more power to you) so what do you do. Thats an easy question. Opt for jeans instead of skirts or dresses. A comfy shirt and your favorite sneakers and flats and roll out!

For some reason people like the style of wore-out, raggedy sneakers. Maybe it's because people are into "reduce, reuse and recycle" and I cant say I hate it. It does look good with some outfits,
Easy laid back jeans and t-shirt with the easiest, elegant braid. Perfect for your "Lazy Sunday"
Slouchy tops are a must for any wardrobe.
Such a cute, simple outfit for grocery shopping. (An great choice for ice cream!)
Again a slouchy top and an easy, elegant hairstyle, for your quick coffee stop.
If you don't feel like struttin' around without makeup, grab a cute pair of oversized sunglasses and wear them everywhere. Even inside, be a celeb for a few hours, Play up the facade.
Flats, flats, flats. Who needs heels? Its Sunday just relax.
Just because its the downright greatest drink for Sunday. An Iced Tea Lemonade, sweetened flavored with Passion, from Starbucks!

It's all about the Dress

Lets face it.
Picking the right dress for your wedding is so frustrating, nerve-racking and scary. But on the other hand it can be one of the most exciting shopping experiences you might ever do in your life. Although I can not be sure since I am no were near the age of marriage, but for me and and any other fashion/ design lover out there, the wedding dress is the ruler of all dresses (those and of course the award show dresses. Speaking of, did any one see January Jones's dress at the 2011 Golden Globe awards? If so let me know what you think, its quite and "interesting" dress.)
Anyway back to the subject of wedding dresses.
When your little you dream of your wedding. You imagine who you will be marrying, which of the 10 best friends will you ask to be there, and what you will wear. For me it was always on a beach, at sunset and I would be wearing some extravagant, over the top white wedding dress. Although some of those detail might still be true today, one of the things that have changed is the dress. Sure who doesn't want a white dress, but who said it has to be the stereotypical white, hoop skirt, barbie wedding dress?
These on the other hand or my kind of dress. Very bohemian, relaxed, but still extremely elegant.

I enjoy everyone of these and would be proud to wear them on my wedding day.

So Close, Yet so Far. (Spring 2011)

Just some of Valentino's Spring 2011 "Ready to Wear"  collection. I am in love with it! The colors palette is so nice and neat. I love the variation of floor length and above the knee.  To see more from this line go here.
So far I am impressed with Spring 2011 lines I've seen. Designers are leaning toward more neutral colors for this year spring. Colors like beige and off white, as we see in Valentino's line. The Chanel collection is more edgy, using colors like black, white, pale yellow and pinks. From knit cardigans dresses to chain link type dresses, to flowing floral dresses. To see Chanel's Spring "Ready to Wear" line, go here

I can't wait to find more collections that will inspire my spring wardrobe. I already have ideas from just these two lines alone and there is so much more to watch. I will keep you updated on what I find from the Spring, 2011 lines.

The New Alice

She has a bit of an Alice, from Alice in Wonderland feel, that is if Alice had yellow, red and purple hair.

But honestly I have great love for this photo. Between the colors and the layout, it looks so effortless and flawless. The flower placement is so thought out. The way they don't frame the picture but the model really draws your attention around the picture yet puts the focal point on the women.
I have to say though, the colors are what set this pictures away from other pictures. The vibrant pink of her dress and of course the colors in her hair. And most of the colors appear more than once. The red of the apples, her hair and the flowers. The yellow of the eaten apple in the bottom right and her hair. The purple of the flowers and of course, her hair.

This picture is a fairy tale. Honestly, when I see it, I see Alice in Wonderland, Snow White (from the eaten apple) and Sleeping Beauty (pink dress and the half awake expression).

You gotta love design!
